Age is just number

When I was a child, I always waited for my birthday like others. Every child looks forward to becoming like their parents quickly. Last several years, I could not be  excited for my birthday like previous ones. In contrast, I feel sad for getting older year by year. Whereas, one thing could change my such feeling in positive way.
As I am walking through our apartment hall I usually hear very loud hard rock music from 304. Every time I hear this music, the imagine of a cool rocker might live in 304 comes directly into my mind. One day, I saw an old man who was dressed like a hip hop singer, was going out of 304 and found out that he lives alone. It means that someone who likes listening to rock was him.I assume that  he must be about 65-70 years old. Although, he looks 10 years younger than his age. I can say that no one won't find the old man who dresses hip hop style and loves listening to loud hard rock in my country. Yes, both rock music and hip hop style are not devoted to just youngsters. Age is just number, Happy birthday to every one!

  1. I love this entry. It's great! It's true. I have been thinking about aging a lot lately and especially about the growing number of responsibilities that can come with aging. But, I think just like the hip-hop guy you saw, we can be happy at any age by continuing to pursue joyful things in life. Happy late birthday to you (did it just pass?)!

  3. In my family, "son" is very important and he is the one who is going to be head of the family and take the last name and pass it down for generations. It was ironic that daughter is being down-graded especially when there are many girls being born in a household. Therefore, I do not have any memory of any birthday during my childhood and the exact day when I was born because my present was a disappointment. Maybe this is a good sign of not knowing my actual age. Now, I celebrate my birthday according to my ID card and looking forward to every year ahead of me by enjoying my life with my love ones and fulfill my goal step by step because I believe that age is just a number and what we shall live for is to believe in ourselves and carry on what's meaningful in our life.
